Leonel Salinas Cervantes

MCALLEN - Leonel Salinas Cervantes, 76, entered etrnal rest on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in Rio Grande City. Mr. Cervantes was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Maria Cervantes, and Genaro Rosa and Angelica Cervantes; eight sibliings, Pedro Abel Cervantes, Viola Mendoza, Aurelio Cervantes, Anna Cervantes, Irene Cervantes, Oscar Garcia, and Henry Rosa.

Mr. Cervantes is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Cervantes; nine siblings, Roger Accord, Wilma Accord, Raylee Accord, Robert Accord, Mary Ann Goodnight, Stacy Rosa, Patricia Martin, Diane Rosa, and Blue Rosa; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his honor can be made to the charity of your choice.  

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
