JUANITA TIJERINA

Edinburg - Juanita Tijerina, 68, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, March 8, 2018, in Edinburg. Born in Harlingen she had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Ms. Tijerina is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Annalisa Gonzales; her father, Magdaleno Juarez, Sr.; a brother, Magdaleno Juarez, Jr.

Juanita enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to music, great dancer, party animal, a hard worker, and spending time with family. She will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew her. 

Ms. Tijerina is survived by her seven children, Juan G. Salinas, David Salinas, Jorge Luis Salinas, Rosalinda (Benjamin) Gonzales, Daniel Ambriz, Melissa (Andrew) Castro, Cristina (Jose Carlos) Cantu; 13 grandchildren; her mother, Herminia Juarez; fifteen siblings, Trinidad (Saul) Montalvo, San Juanita Anciso, Eva Mancinas, Jesus (Agustina) Juarez, Simona (Jose) Rosales, Paula Ermelinda Juarez, Josefina Garza, Rosa Wilhelm, Jose Arturo (Remedios) Juarez, Jose Luis (Sylvia) Juarez, Margarita (Roberto) Hernandez, Blanca Estela Perez, Maria Elena (Jim) Lowry, Arnulfo (Angie) Juarez, and Martin (Janet) Juarez; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
