Juan Michael Saenz

EDINBURG - Juan Michael Saenz, 35, entered eternal rest on Saturday December 21, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas. 

Juan (John) Micheal Saenz was born in Laredo, Tx on May 22, 1989. He was a devoted father to seven children, who were the center of his world. He was an electrical engineer at Chevron, where his expertise and dedication to his work earned him the respect of colleagues and peers alike.

A proud graduate with two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree, John was a lifelong learner who valued education and sought to inspire those around him through his accomplishments. His professional success was matched only by his love for his family.

John’s greatest joy was being a father. He poured his heart into his children, always striving to be a positive role model, a loving protector, and a guiding force in their lives. His warmth, strength, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Munoz; seven children, Leah, Diesel, Charles, Chevelle, Avanti, Maverick and Sienna; his parents, Janie and Baltazar Saenz, three sisters, Michelle, Kimberly and Ashley, eight nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary on Sunday December 29, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday December 30, 2024, at St. Jospeh Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
