Jose Vela Salinas

Edinburg- Jose Vela Salinas, born on August 5, 1947 in McAllen, Texas to Asencion and Francisca Salinas, passed away on February 24, 2015 in Edinburg. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Juan Salinas and sister Rosalinda Salinas. He is survived by his caring and devoted wife, Rosa Velia A. de Salinas; children: Francisca Cruz (Juan), Jose Salinas, Jr., (Diana), Hector Salinas (Martina), Israel Salinas (Talia), Elida Salinas, Joel Salinas (Clarita), and Elda Leal (Hector); 18 grandchildren and siblings: Asencion Salinas Jr., Virginia Madrigal, Estella Flaming, Sylvia Salinas, and Oralia Salinas. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a 7:00pm prayer service on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Legacy Funeral Home in Edinburg. Chapel Service will be at 10:00am on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Legacy Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. The family is in the care of Legacy Funeral Home in Edinburg.
