Jose Moreno

EDINBURG - Jose Moreno, 97, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 18, 2025, in Edinburg. Mr. Moreno is preceded in death by his daughter, Petra Moreno; parent's, Gonzalo Sanchez and Petra Moreno; two siblings, Gonzalo Sanchez Jr., and Maria Sanchez. 

Mr. Moreno is survived by his wife, Gloria Moreno; eight children, Filiberto (Delia) Moreno, Virgino (Norma) Moreno, Cayentano (Maria) Moreno, Jose M. (Jamie) Moreno Jr., Maria J. Moreno, Elvira Moreno, Cecilio Moreno, and Silverio C. Moreno; eight grandchildren, Alyssa Moreno, Kristine Rodriguez, Jovanni E. Moreno, Joseph D. Moreno, Angela E. Moreno, Alanah B. Moreno, Gabriela Moreno, and Aizah Moreno; five great grandchildren, Ava Garcia, Mateo M. Arriaga, Kaleb J. Solis, Liam Leal, and Amara Leal; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2025 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pharr, Texas. Interment will follow to Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
