Jose Adan E. Martinez

Edinburg- Jose Adan E. Martinez, born on February 20, 1927 in Cedral, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Merced and Santos Martinez, passed away on January 8, 2014. He is survived by his devoted wife for 66 years, Mrs. Eulalia R. Martinez, children; Maria D. Salazar (Jose), Maria Teresa De Jesus (Ruben), Adan P. Martinez (Ai), Maria Del Carmen Peralez (Ramiro), Merced Martinez (Irina), 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He also leaves behind his siblings; Celia Martinez and Esther Martinez. Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 12, 2014 between the hours of 1:00pm and 9:00pm with a rosary beginning at 7:00pm at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., in Edinburg. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Mr. Martinez's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Funeral Services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
