JORGE GONZALEZ, JR.
EDINBURG – Jorge Gonzalez, Jr., 53, was lifted up to God on Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Edinburg, Texas.
Mr. Gonzalez, along with his wife Beatriz, raised a beautiful family with three children, Jorge III, Lynette, and Kayla Gonzalez. He is the beloved son treasured by his parents, Jorge Sr. and Melinda Gonzalez. Jorge Gonzalez also leaves behind three siblings, Neldy, Jamie, and Joel Gonzalez, in addition to numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and many friends. Far too many to list here are the individuals and organizations who, over the years, were blessed by his generosity and touched by his spirit of kindness.
Our dad was the epitome of love. He was a spiritual man with a true heart that always made time for his family and friends. His selfless practice of placing the needs of others before his own embodies how he modeled his own life following the example set by Jesus Christ. He never failed to lift our spirits, to be the shoulder on which we could cry, or the person to whom we could turn to for advice. He somehow always knew when we needed one of his warm hugs or a laugh, and was always there to sustain us during times of distress. His legacy will remain in our souls as we stand strong together to continue to represent him and all of the moral values, beliefs, and principles that he instilled in our hearts. His genuine smile and kind eyes that radiated the room will forever be remembered. He was able to touch and change so many lives by being the perfect husband, dad, and friend. We rejoice in knowing that he is at peace in heaven and that he will be watching over us from above. He always told us, “Everything is going to be fine, just trust in God.” Now, that is all that there is left to be done. One day, we will meet again, but for now we know that he is still walking with us every step of the way as our guardian angel.
We love you Dad,
Jorge III, Lynette, and Kayla Gonzalez
