SAN JUAN- Johnnie Lopez Jr., 71, entered eternal rest on Monday, December 5, 2022 in San Juan surrounded by his family. Mr. Lopez was preceded in death by his mother, Manuela Ramirez; two brothers, Leonel Martin Tijerina and Leonel Tijerina Jr.

Mr. Lopez is survived by four children, Johnnie Lee Lopez, Natalie Lopez, Stephen Lopez and Stephanie Lopez; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; father, Leonel Tijerina Jr.; sister, Maria Luisa "Lulu" Tijerina; brother, Leonardo Tijerina.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Monday, December 12, 2022 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Mission 901 Church St. in Pharr. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
