Joe Clarence Weber McAllen - Joe Clarence Weber, born April 29, 1934 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Alfredo Gonzalez Veterans Home of McAllen, Texas. He was a Retired Corpsman (Medic) of United States Navy. Joe C Weber was a veteran with 20 years of service, enlisting August 11, 1952; Korean War; Two tours of Duty in Viet Nam - 1st tour with PBR (Patrol Boat River) and 2nd tour with SOG (Special Operations Group). Joe was born in Marshalltown, Iowa, to the late Charles Weber and Lillian (Lurvey) Weber. He was married to Sylvia (Smith) Weber, which preceded him in Death. Surviving Mr. Weber is Son- John Weber, Pasadena, Texas; Step-son Michael Phelps of McAllen, Texas and step-daughter Sherry Phelps of North Carolina. Surviving Mr. Weber is his sister, Marie Mellencamp (Don) of Seymour, Indiana. Preceding his death Sisters Lydia; Louise Jumper ( Clyde) and brothers Kenneth, Lester Weber. After retiring, he joined the staff of Brown and Root Oil Refinery and Creole as a Safety Supervisor of Houston, Texas. Joe was a man with great sense of humor and cherished his family and friends. His love of country and dedication to service followed him throughout his full life. He will be sorely missed. Graveside service with full Military Honors will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Rio Grande State Veterans Cemetery in Mission Texas.
