Jesus Maria Cantu

EDINBURG - Jesus Maria Cantu, 86, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in Edinburg surrounded by his family. Mr. Cantu was preceded in death by his wife, Petra Cantu; his son, Martin Cantu; parents, Agustin and Leonides Cantu.

Mr. Cantu is survived by his children, Concepcion (Felipe) Cantu, Maria De Jesus Garcia, Olg Alicia Cantu, Jesus Ovidio (Antonia) Cantu, Gerardo (Rosa) Cantu, and Joel Cantu; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two siblings, Teresa Cantu, and Juan Cantu. 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, March 13, 2025, Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2025, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
