James Michael Thompson

MCALLEN - James Michael Thompson, 81, entered eternal rest on Monday, March 13, 2023, in Edinburg. Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gorgia Thompson; his siblings, Pat and Wayne Thompson. James was a proud veteran having served his country in the United States Army.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Olga Maria Thompson; three children, Sheila De Ann Willmon, Sheldon Dwayne Thompson, and Sterling Dean (Gabriella) Thompson; four grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy Rosser; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m.Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery will full military honors in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
