Jacinda Leigh Cantu

EDINBURG - Jacinda Leigh Cantu, 25, went to be with our Lord, Saturday February 1, 2025, in Edinburg. Jacinda was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Leonel and Irma Cantu. Jacinda was a 2017 graduate of Edcouch Elsa High School and a student at UTRGV. She enjoyed art, listening to K-pop music watching anime shows and movies. Her favorite movie was The Perks of Being a Wallflower. She will be greatly missed and forever loved by those who knew her. 

Ms. Cantu is survived by her parents, Lee and Petra P. Cantu; three siblings, Jeremiah Lee Cantu, Jiselle Leeann Cantu, and Christian Cantu; maternal grandparents, David and Carmen Cortez; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday February 5, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 8 a.m. Thursday February 6, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
