ISRAEL RIVAS-PEREZ EDINBURG - Israel Rivas-Perez, 80, entered eternal rest Thursday, June 3, 2021, in Edinburg surrounded by his family. Israel was preceded in death by his son, Israel Rivas Jr.; parents, Refugio and Leonor Rivas, four siblings, Adan, Ruben, Modesto, Noemi. Mr. Rivas-Perez is survived by his wife, Gloria C. Rivas; four children, Graciela (Andres) Hernandez, Norma Garza, Gloria (Ignacio) Lopez, and Refugio (Zurisadai) Rivas; 15 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren; six siblings, Refugio, Marta, Eva, Roberto, Lidia, and Maruca Rivas-Perez; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2021, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
