IRENE BALDERAS

EDINBURG - Irene Balderas, 92, went to be with our Lord, Monday, December 31, 2018, in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Born in Mercedes, Texas she had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Mrs. Balderas was preceded in death by her husband, Ascension Balderas; her daughter, Maria Elena Balderas; her parents, Julian and Sylvestra Guzman; her four brothers, Raul, Hilario and Maximiliano, and Jose Guzman; her sister, Elida Gutierrez.

Mrs. Balderas is survived by her four children, Raul "Roy" (Mary Lou) Balderas, Sylvia Sanchez, Ernesto (Suzanne) Balderas, and Eduardo "Eddie" (Rosie) Balderas; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Elvira Martinez, Beatrice Noriega, Mosesta Guzman.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019, with a 12 noon Celebration of Life service at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
