GUADALUPE "LUPITA" LOERA DE MARTINEZ

MCALLEN- It is with great sorrow Guadalupe Loera De Martinez, 77, of Pharr, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Mrs. Martinez was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Martinez, parents, Santos Loera Rubio and Felipa Del Valle Rodriguez; five siblings, Miguel Angel Loera Del Valle, Eleazar Loera Del Valle, Amparo Loera De Carrion, Hermelinda Loera De Cordova and Santos Loera Del Valle.

Mrs. Martinez is survived by her two loving sons, Jose "Manny" (Alma) Martinez and Eduardo "Eddie" (Rosemary) Martinez; 2 granddaughters, Jaslene LeeAnn Martinez and Sophia Rose Martinez; three brothers, Silverio Loera Del Valle, Blas Loera Del Valle and Oscar Loera Del Valle; sister, Sara Loera De Rodriguez; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lupita was a hard working, energetic and humble woman. She was loving and caring towards everyone she met and always had a positive attitude about life. Lupita was always willing to lend a helping hand to close friends and family, she did so with great pride. She had a passion for cooking and never hesitated to extend an invitation to loved ones to enjoy a delicious meal. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at St. Margaret  Mary Catholic Church 122 W Hawk Ave in Pharr. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
