GUADALUPE "LUPE" ENRIQUEZ
EDINBURG - It is with deep sorrow and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and cherished grandfather, Guadalupe P. Enriquez, fondly known as Lupe, at the age of 86 on May 16,2023. His indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication to his family have left a mark on our lives, forever inspiring us to strive for greatness.
He was born on October 13,1936, in San Benito, Texas, Lupe was a man of remarkable strength, both in body and character. He faced life's challenges with unwavering determination, demonstrating a resilience that served as a guiding light for all who knew him. His strong-willed nature and unwavering commitment ensured that his family was well cared for and cherished. The love between Lupe and his beloved wife, Maria Guadalupe, was a testament to the power of a lifelong partnership. For 65 beautiful years, they stood side by side, weathering life's storms and celebrating its joy together. Their love was an inspiration to all, a beacon of unwavering support, and a reminder of the enduring power of a strong and loving bond.
Beyond his role as a provider, Lupe had a profound impact on those around him through his unwavering work ethic. He was a self made entrepreneur, who began his own family construction company. He owned and operated his own company for 60 years. His hard work and dedication can be seen throughout the Rio Grande Valley in the many projects his company completed. May his spirit live on through the love and strength he instilled in us. Rest peacefully and know that you are forever loved and cherished.
As a father to 9 children, Lupe exemplified the true meaning of selflessness and devotion. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. His memory will forever be cherished by his children, Jaime (Thelma), Angel (Rene), Lupe Jr., Esther (Gaspar), Oscar (Lisa), David, Gloria (Simon), Alma (David), and Gilbert (Diana), and their families. His legacy of love, strength, and unwavering support will continue to guide them throughout their lives. To his 27 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, Lupe was a beacon of love and support, leaving an indelible imprint on their hearts.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, May 21,2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2023, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, in Pharr. Pallbearers will be James Anthony Enriquez, Oscar A. Campos, L.T. Enriquez, Joey Campos, Oscar Gerald Enriquez, D.J. Enriquez, J.D. Alonzo, Jonathan Garza, and Noah Enriquez.
Funeral service are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
