FIDELA ORNELAS

MCALLEN - Fidela Ornelas, 83, etnered eternal rest on Friday, January 20, 2023, in Edinburg. Mrs. Ornelas was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Otto Echavarria; her parents, Abundio and Cipriana Lopez; three siblings, Sebastian Lopez, Jose Lopez, and Lucio Lopez.

Mrs. Ornelas is survived by her husband, Saturnino Ornelas; her seven children, Elvia (Carlos) Muniz, Olivia (Francisco) Torres, Maribel (Jose Luis) Garcia, San Juana Ornelas, Saturnino (Monica) Ornelas, Gerardo Ornelas, and Fernando Ornelas; numeorus grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two siblings, Maximina Lopez, and German Lopez; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with 7 p.m. prayer service, Monday, January 23, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
