FERNANDO QUINTANILLA
MCALLEN - Fernando Quintanilla, 70, from McAllen, Texas, went to his eternal resting place with our Heavenly Father on December 1, 2022.
Fernando was born in January 17, 1952 in McAllen, Texas. He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter Elida Quintanilla Hernandez (Ernesto Hernandez Jr). He is survived by his daughters Elizabeth Quintanilla and Yvette Quintanilla (Julio Puente); grandkids Anahi Morado, Gabriel Torres, Cassandra Treviño, Jasmine Morado, Ernesto Hernandez III, and Emilio Hernandez; his siblings Francisco Quintanilla, Felipe Quintanilla Sr, Esther Salinas, Herlinda Quintanilla, Felix Quintanilla, Federico Quintanilla and Remijio Quintanilla.
Fernando was a devoted father and loving grandfather. He was a hard working man who worked in construction for many years, as well as a forklift driver. He was a very modest and humble man who was loved by so many.
Dad, you will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2022, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
