Mrs.Evangelina M.Gonzalez,80, entered eternal sleep on Thursday May 3, 2018 in Edinburg. Evangelina was born on February 12, 1938 in McAllen,Texas to Guadalupe and Maria (Ellis) Moya Evangelina grew up in McAllen until she married Mr. Servando Gonzalez and moved to Delmita Starr County, Texas. Evangelina was raised by her paternal Aunt Mrs. Paula Garcia Mendoza and cousin Gregoria Zepeda. Evangelina enjoyed sewing, among other things. She devoted her work life as a contracter for the US Postal Service. Evengelina wll be dearly missed by her family,extended family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 60 years Mr. Servando Gonzalez, her children Ricardo Gonzalez ( Diana Mata ), Carlos Javier (Penny) Gonzalez, Sandra ( Alfredo Jr. ) Garcia, Rene Gonzalez (Judith) Gonzalez, Ruth (Tony) Thompson, Servando Jr. (Irene) Gonzalez; siblings-Raul Moya,Roberto Moya, Maria Cobos, Irma Contreras, Guadalupe Moya Jr., Guillermo Moya; grandchildren; Robert Gonzalez, Alfredo Garcia III, Ryan Garcia, Erik Scott Gonzalez, Kyle Gonzalez, Victoria Gonzalez, Desiree Gonzalez, Demetri Gonzalez,Hunter Meek, Ella Cristina Gonzalez, Jacob Gonzalez, Carlos Javier Gonzalez JR., and Servando Gonzalez III

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Legacy Chapels,4610 S. Jackson Rd.in Edinburg from 5 pm to 9 pm with a rosary at 7 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission wih FR. Roy Snipes officiating. Interment will follow to La Piedad cemetery in McAllen.

Funeral arrangements and services are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
