Esteban Martinez

MISSION — Esteban "Steve" Martinez, passed away on July 16, 2014 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. He was born on December 9, 1960 in Mission, Texas to Agapito and Maria Martinez, who preceded him in death, in addition to a sister, Christina Martinez-Morales, a daughter, Savannah Martinez, and a son, Samuel Martinez. Survivors include his devoted wife, Monica Martinez; and children, Esteban Omar Hernandez, Moises Daniel Hernandez, Aaron Emmanuel Martinez, Roxanne Marie Martinez (Matthew Vasquez), Samantha Marie Martinez, Casandra Michelle Mueller (Ernest), and Amanda Lee Martinez. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and siblings, Maria Gricelda "Chela" Phelan, Alicia "Chita" Zapata, Santos Martinez, Hipolita "Pola" Sandoval, Agapito Martinez, Jr., Modesto "Marty" Ornelas, Irene Alaniz, Silvia " Chiva" Martinez and Eduardo "Chico" Martinez. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Legacy Funeral Home in Edinburg, where a celebration of life service will take place at 7:00pm. Chapel Service will be at 10:00am on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Legacy Funeral Home, interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Mission. The family is in the care of Legacy Funeral Home of Edinburg.
