ELVA RAMIREZ SAN JUAN - Elva Ramirez, 67, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016, in San Juan surrounded by her family. Born in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico she had lived in San Juan most of her life. Ms. Ramirez was preceded in death by her parents, Julio and Josefina Bernal. Ms. Ramirez is survived by six brothers, Francisco, Julio, Enrique, Ernesto, Rogelio and Jaime Bernal; two sisters, Amelia and Julieta Bernal; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 8, 2016, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
