ALAMO/EDINBURG – Eduardo Martinez, 50, entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 25, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at the Paxvilla Hospice Facility in McAllen. Eduardo was born on November 24, 1968 in Mexico to Viviano and Silvia (Cepeda) Martinez. Eduardo was a past resident of Alamo before residing in Fairfax, Minnesota for the past 27 years. Eduardo was employed with Schweiss-Doors in Fairfax as a Lead Door Welder where he thrived in his occupation. Eduardo enjoyed working on the landscaping of his own home. He loved to barbeque with family and friends. Eduardo was a dedicated husband, exemplar father, excellent brother, employee and friend. Eduardo will be dearly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Eduardo is preceded in death by his grandparents and younger brother Juan Antonio Martinez. He is survived by his wife of 30 years Maria Banda-Martinez; His loving children: Brenda Martinez (Jose Garza), Eduardo Martinez, Jr,. and Eric Martinez; His parents: Viviano and Silvia Martinez; His Siblings: Silvia (Javier) Rangel, Arturo (Kimberly) Martinez, Ismael Martinez, Blanca Martinez (Jose DeLeon), and Celeny Martinez.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.on Monday, November 26, 2018 with a prayer service to be officiated by FR. Gilberto Vasquez Martinez at 7:00 PM at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Rd. in Edinburg. Cremation service will follow at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
