DAVID VELA

EDINBURG - David Vela, 41, entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in Midland. Mr. Vela was preceded in death by his parents, Baltazar and Flor Vela; his brother, Efren Vela.

David was a kind and loving soul. His smile would light up the room and he was the guy everyone would want to be around. David was a loving husband and father. His happiness was found being around his family, but his greatest passion and joy was barbecuing for his family. He worked hard for his family even if it meant being away from home for some time. David always made sacrifices for them and did it with his whole heart and with a smile on his face. He will be forever missed and forever loved by all whom knew him.

Mr. Vela is survived by his wife, Lori Vela; his four children, Zimriah Vela, Hezekiah Vela, Jathan Vela, and Ocean Belle Vela; his siblings, Adan Vela, Gilbert Vela, Esteban Vela, and San Juanita Vela; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life Service Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
