Rosa Bertha "Betty" Flores Rodriguez

HIDALGO - Rosa Bertha "Betty" Flores Rodriguez, 81, went to meet her Savior, on Tuesday, August 29 2023, in Edinburg. Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her husband Romeo M. Rodriguez Guerra; her precious granddaughter, Nedra Yvonne Rodriguez; her parents, Carlos and Bertha Flores; a brother-in-law, Jose G. Ortegon.

Bertha "Betty" was born on September 6, 1941, in Comales, Tamps., Mexico to Carlos Flores and Bertah Rios Flores. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Betty worked at Hidalgo ISD from 2002 to 2013. She will be missed by all whom knew her but will remain in our hearts forever.

Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by her three children, Bertha Zaira (Adolio) Garcia, Romeo (Yvonne) Rodriguez, Carlos (Sonia) Rodriguez; four grandchildren, Romeo M. (Vanessa) Lopez, Adolio R. (Leesandra) Garcia III, Juan Romero (Sonia) Rodriguez, and Carlos "Chucky" Rodriugez; three great-grandchildren, Nedra Rodriguez, Zamira Lopez, and Ryan Lee Garcia; two siblings, Maria de la Luz Ortegon, and Carlos Flores; numerous nieces and nephews.  

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. with a 5 p.m. Celebration of Life service on Sunday September 3, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

The family is extremely thankful to DHR Health Hospice and staff, as well as Dr. Charity Abreu for their dedicated and professional care of our beloved mother.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chpels in Edinburg.
