BENITA "BENNIE" SALAZAR EDINBURG - Benita "Bennie" Salazar, 56, went to be with our Lord, Monday, May 29, 2017, in McAllen surrounded by her family. Born in San Juan she had lived in Edinburg for the past 26 years. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Salazar; her parents, Gilberto and Irma Ramirez. Mrs. Salazar is survived by her husband Teodoro Salazar; six children, Ted (Mirna) Salazar, Lori (Eli Castillo) Salazar, Ruben (Loriza) Salazar, Joseph Salazar, Jordan Salazar and Adrian Salazar; 8 grandchildren; six brothers; four sisters; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
