Bacilisa Muñoz

BACILISA "LICHA" MUÑOZ EDINBURG - Bacilisa "Licha" Muñoz, 83, went to be with our Lord, Monday, May 29, 2017, in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Born in Anahuac, N.L., Mexico and formerly of Rio Bravo, Tamps., Mexico she had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Mrs. Muñoz is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Ceferina Avila; a brother, Juan Avila. Mrs. Muñoz is survived by her husband, Constantino Muñoz; six children, Juanita M. (Roberto) Villarreal, Norma Alicia (Jesse) Salazar, Rafael Muñoz, Jose C. (Laura) Muñoz, Juan Francisco (Yolanda) Muñoz, Martha N. (Arnulfo) Salinas; 19 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Esteban, Manuel and Jose Avila; four sisters, Rosa Castillo, San Juana Alday, Oralia Aguilar, Maria Del Refugio Cortez; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
