Atanacio Rodriguez

Weslaco, Texas - Atanacio Rodriguez, 91, passed away to be with the Lord on October 15, 2024 peacefully at his residence. Mr. Rodriguez was born on November 24, 1932 in Miquihuana, Tamps., Mexico to Mr. Catarino Rodriguez & Mrs. Maria Tovar.

Mr. Rodriguez was preceded in death by his wife Ania Rodriguez; his parents; his brother, Bonifacio Rodriguez; his sister, Petra Rodriguez.

Atanacio is survived by his seven children, Margarita Diaz, Leticia Mendez, Celia R. Jacques, Janie Saenz, Mary San Miguel, Francisco Rodriguez and Joel Rodriguez; his sister, Maria Dolores Tello; nineteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with 7 p.m. rosary, Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
