ARTURO GONZALEZ GARZA Arturo Gonzalez Garza, 91, went to be with our Lord, Saturday September 3, 2016, in McAllen surrounded by his family. Born in Los Ramones, N.L., Mexico he had lived in McAllen for most of his life. Mr. Gonzalez is preceded in death by two sons, Arturo Gonzalez Cerda and Thomas Gonzalez; his parents, Vicente and Librada Gonzalez; two brothers, Porfirio and Rogelio Gonzalez; two sisters, Hermelinda Cazares and Antonia Martinez; a son-in-law, Zenon Mendez. Mr Gonzalez is survived by 29 children, Maricela (David) Aguirre, Imelda (Gilberto) Sanchez, Juan Antonio (Angelica) Gonzalez, Arturo (Andrea) Gonzalez, Delia (Juan Carlos) Sanchez, Arturo Rene Gonzalez, Hector Gonzalez, Roberto Gonzalez, Deyanira Mendez, Sergio Gonzalez, Iris Belle (Zeferino) Elizalde, Arturo Gonzalez Rios, Maggie (Rob) Birmingham, Robert (Hilda) Gonzalez, Hugo Gonzalez, Erik (Migdalia) Gonzalez, Esther Gonzalez, Tania (Julio) Gonzalez, Juan Pablo Gonzalez, Maribel (Jaime Gomez) Gonzalez, Arturo (Carolina) Gonzalez Elizalde, Zulem Gonzalez, Criselda Gonzalez, Yoelia Gonzalez, Joanna Gonzalez, Arturo Gonzalez Velazquez, Alberto Gonzalez, Perla Del Mar Gonzalez and Gloria Esmeralda Gonzalez; a brother, Vicente Gonzalez Garza; a sister, Esther Gonzalez Lopez; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
