Pharr - Antonio Carrillo, 50, entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
Mr. Carrillo is survived by his parents Gloria and Alfonso Carrillo; his wife, Sugeyra Carrillo; 4 children, Javier Carrillo Jr., Steffany Carrillo, Antonio Carrillo Jr. and Priscilla A. Carrillo; 4 siblings, Laura Carrillo, Irene Carrillo, Adriana Carrillo and Javier Carrillo; numerous family and friends.
Antonio Carrillo was the true epitome of the number one Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Uncle and Friend. He was a caring, devoted, and loving husband. He always made sure his family had everything needed. He was always there for his kids and was the true best friend anyone could ever ask for. He helped with anything he could help with ranging from mechanical troubles to picking up his nephews.
He worked as a Master Automobile Technician until he got sick with COVID. He battled COVID in 2021 and that changed his life forever. God have him a second chance to be with his family and friends. God allowed him to keep his mental sharpness and continued to be very bright. He never lost his Master Automobile Technician skills. He had the ability to diagnose all vehicle problems regardless of the make/model and even without the car in front of him. If you called him to tell him what the car was doing he would tell you what to check.
He was a great asset to our family. There will never be anyone like him. He fought hard to overcome the many obstacles that came after COVID. Every day he faced struggles and had to work extra hard to accomplish his daily tasks. He always found a way even with his limitations. He managed to cook for the family, go grocery shopping, pick up/drop off kids at school. He always wanted to be one of the first, if not the first, in line to pick up his kids.
He had an immense love for his family and every day he did everything he could. Although we feel that it was not enough time with him, we know that everyone’s time on Earth is limited. May God grant him eternal peace.
