Ann Mazurek

Ann Rita Mazurek McAllen - Ann Rita Mazurek, 81, died peacefully after a long illness, Thursday, January 7, 2016, in McAllen, Texas. Born in Chicago, Illinois, and formerly of Cerritos California. She had lived in McAllen since 2005. Her hobbies included shopping, gardening, and traveling. Rita was a Retired Registered Nurse, who was dedicated to providing the highest quality care to her patients. She comforted and inspired many people throughout her career. Rita was preceded in death by her loving husband Edward Mazurek; a son, John Mazurek; her parents, Stanley and Lucy Czupryn; four brothers: Edward, Otto, Richie, and Robert Czupryn; two sisters Josephine Tunney, Estelle Guzaski; a sister-in-law Donna Czupryn. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Mazurek is survived by her son Paul Mazurek; a daughter, Mary Mazurek; four grandchildren: John MIchael, Tyler, Allison, and Tiffany; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
