Andres Robles Contreras

Edinburg - Andres Robles Contreras, 92, went to his eternal home with our Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Mr. Contreras was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Contreras and Maria A. Robles; two brothers, Ismael Robles and Antonio Contreras.

Mr. Contreras was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, on November 30, 1930. He was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Contreras was married to Emilia for over 67 years. He worked for General Motors for 30 years. Andres donated to many charities to include disabled veterans, Food Bank, and many other groups. Andres enjoyed farming, gardening, traveling, playing chalupa, but most importantly spending quality time with his family. He will always be loved and forever missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Contreras is survived by his wife, Emilia Contreras; six children, Olga (Bernardo) Garcia, Esther Rosario, Elva (Juan) Guzman, Nancy Huerta, Amy (Jose) Guzman, Emily (Felix) Zarate; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life service on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Funeral service are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
