AMPARO ALANIZ

EDINBURG - Amparo Alaniz, 84, entered eternal sleep on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at her residence in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Mrs. Aalaniz was preceded in death by her husband, Horacio Alaniz; her son, Alfredo Alaniz; her parents, Guadalupe and Maria De Los Santos Alvarez; her siblings, Roman, Maria De Atoche, and Consuelo.

Mrs. Alaniz is survived by her six children, Arnoldo Alaniz, Arsenio (Norma) Alaniz, Alma Orelia (Rodrigo) Ortiz, Mario (Isela) Alaniz, Veronica (Juan) Rios, and Horacio (Veronica) Alaniz Jr.; twenty three grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Olga Alaniz; six siblings, Santos, Maria Magdalena, Guadalupe, Jose Luis, Amador, and Ricardo; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
