Alfredo “Freddie” Singleterry, Jr. 10/19/1980 – 11/12/2021
On Friday, November 12, 2021, our beloved son and brother was peacefully taken by our Heavenly Father to rest eternally. Freddie Jr., our “Baby Freddie” lived such a positive and caring life. His smile was an endless embrace to all those he encountered. Freddie had a sincere, caring, and loving spirit that radiated into his immediate family and all those he came in contact with. He lived his life by his word of honesty, sincerity, and fairness. He was a man of his word and loved with his all his might.
He had a special bond with his mother, Rosie, as they traveled and spent countless of hours sharing conversations that will forever hold a special place in her heart. The love of football, especially the Dallas Cowboys derived from his shared interest with his father, Freddie, Sr. The relationship that he had with his baby brother, Derrick Rocky, was the epitome of brotherhood. Everyone knew when Freddie and Rocky were together because their energy and love for one another transcended everywhere and anywhere. Derrick Zavier was his pride and joy and took to being an uncle as natural as his smile. He truly loved his Fonseca and Singleterry aunts, uncles, and cousins, as he made it a point to let everyone know how special they were to him. He held his dear friends and colleagues to high standards and took pride in his friendships with all of them. He was to marry the Love of His Life, Ms. Karla Garcia, the week he joined the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven. He adored and loved her with all his heart.
Freddie was a Supervisor at Costco, and he loved his Costco family.
Freddie Jr. was an avid sports fan and athlete. He played Full Back for Memorial High School, graduating in 1999, where he was a four-year letterman. Among many accolades, he cheered on the McAllen Memorial High School Competition Squad, and played soccer, baseball, and track.
He loved nature and the beach, along with the love of music. He loved roller blading, swimming, traveling, taking care of all his animals, was artistic, and of course photogenic! Freddie and Rocky coached youth football with the McAllen Boys & Girls club. He loved working around his Grandma Tilly’s house with his latest project being the back yard fence.
