Adela Sanchez Torres

PHARR- ADELA TORRES, 78, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 6, 2014. She was born in San Juan, Texas on December 16, 1935 to Martin and Felipa Sanchez. Adela was a member of St. Anne Mother of Mary Catholic Church in Pharr for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Irineo Torres, parents, two brothers, Simon and Juan Sanchez; two sisters, Anita Torres and Pia Salinas She is survived by her children, Agnes Torres of San Antonio, Texas; Jose Angel "Joe" (Yvette) Torres of Pharr; and Arnoldo (Angie) Torres of Donna; grandchildren: Joseph (Lisa) Torres, Janette (Vince) Torres, A. J. Torres, Joe Andrew Torres, Adelyn Torres, and Arnold Torres; 4 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Pedro and Pablo Sanchez both of San Juan; five sisters, Jovita Salazar of Fort Worth, TX, Angelita Ybon and Fran Garza both of Lewisville, TX, Andrea Sanchez and Josie Solis both of Irving, TX. Visitation will be from 5 pm to 9 pm with a 7 pm rosary, today, May 8, 2014, at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral Mass will be at 11 am Friday, May 9, 2014, at St. Anne Mother of Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. The family is in the care of Legacy Chapels of Edinburg.
