Victoria Gonzalez

San Juan - Victoria M. Gonzalez passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, November 10th 2013. She was born on November 17th 1928 in Mercedes, Texas to Cresencio and Antonia Martinez. She married Alfredo Gonzalez in July of 1949 and together they began a full time ministry in 1954 in Chandler, Arizona. Victoria was ordained as a minister in 1974. Shortly thereafter, she completed her Theological studies from Bethel Bible School (Assemblies of God) in 1983 and Berea Bible School/Extension in 1986. Victoria's passion was preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ at home and abroad, and praying for the sick. Her hobbies included reading, writing, traveling and drawing. Victoria is preceded in death by her parents, sons: Armando Perez, Alfredo Gonzalez, Jr., and Gonzalo Gonzalez, a daughter Irma Flores, 3 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her caring and devoted husband, Rev. Alfredo Gonzalez, nine children; Juan Jose Moreno, Juanita (Albino) Hernandez, Yolanda Weimer, Juan (Nohemi) Gonzalez, Elizabeth (Clemente) Del Campo, Samuel (Rosalinda) Gonzalez, Ester (Rafael) Gonzalez, Bethsaida Gonzalez, Victor (Maria G.) Gonzalez, Jorge (Ivonne) Gonzalez, 32 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, a brother, Marcos Cano, Sr., many nieces and nephews and a special friend Juan "Juanito" Ordaz. Serving as Pallbearers will be Victor Gonzalez, Jorge Gonzalez, Juan Gonzalez, Jr., Jeremiah Gonzalez, Juan Alfredo Gonzalez, Adrain Gonzalez, Honorary Pallbearers will be Rev. Alfredo Gonzalez, Lic. Juan Gonzalez and Evangelist Samuel Gonzalez. Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 16th 2013 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a service at 6:00pm and Sunday, November 17th 2013 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm with a service at 5:00pm at Iglesia del Valle Santa Pentecostes, 807 West FM 495 in San Juan, Texas. Funeral Services will be at 9:30am on Monday, November 18th 2013 also at Iglesia del Valle Santa Pentecostes. Entombent will follow Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Iglesia del Valle Santa Pentecostes in San Juan, or the charity of your choice. Funeral Services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
