ROGELIO ARCE
MISSION - Rogelio Arce, 62, went to be with our Lord, Friday, August 3, 2018 in Mission surrounded by his family. Born in Edinburg he had lived in Mission for the past 20 years. Mr. Arce is preceded in death by his parents, Ventura Arce and Nicolasa Zavala.
We would like to thank everyone who has reached out and extended their support. Thank you for the outpouring of love and prayers we have received as well. Roy was a great man who was beloved by many. He worked for the Hidalgo County Tax Office for 25 years until retiring just two years ago in 2016. He graduated from Edinburg High School in 1975. Rogelio loved playing music and singing. One of his favorite bands was The Eagles and you could always catch him playing their songs on his guitar. He was a great man full of joy and laughter. Rogellio will be missed by many. He loved to make people smile and laugh.
Rogelio loved his Dallas Cowboys. In remembrance of him, we ask that anyone who would like wear their best Dallas Cowboys gear to his memorial, please do so.
Mr. Arce is survived by his wife, Dora Rivera Arce; two sons, Benjamin (Lisa) Arce and Matthew Arce; his brother, Jose Luis Arce; two sisters, Irma Lara and Mary Tijerina; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life service, Monday, August 6, 2018 at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
