Edinburg, Texas Rebecca M Rodriguez,60, went with our Lord on April 11,2017. She was born and lived in Edinburg, TX. She is preceded in death by the love of her life her husband, Apolinar Rodriguez Jr. of 39 years, her father Cesario Hernandez and a brother Richard Cesario Hernandez,Sr. She has left to heaven to be with her husband. She is survived by her mother, Josefina Hernandez and brothers and sisters, Richard C+ (RC) Hernandez, Rose M Gutierrez, Rosalie (Brent) Mangum, Robert C (Yvette) Hernandez and Rene C (Rosie) Hernandez. She is loved by many including her nieces Jeannie Gutierrez, Gloria Benavidez and Irene Robledo. She loved them like daughters. Rebecca always put others first whether it was her husband, Jeannie, her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews or the children she cared for at the daycare or in foster care. Her life is the example of a loving and caring mother to us all. Even while she was not at her strongest she worried about her family and put us first. She devoted her life to the care of others as a Tia, sister, daughter, grandmother, wife, mother, and friend. She will forever be in our hearts just as she was in our lives. Special thanks to our extended family and to the donations given by many: Heavenly Grace (Sandra, Nora and Mary), Kids at Play (Roxie and Iris), Diana Garza (at the Renaissance), Rosie Head, Action Janitorial Service, Sylvia Bueno & family, and Raquenel Palacios Attorney at Law. Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 12,2017 at Legacy Chapels,4610 South Jackson Rd. in Edinburg from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be on Thursday April 13, 2017 at 12:30 PM at Legacy Chapels with interment to follow to Val Verde cemetery in Donna. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
