PAULETTE RIGGIO SACA
MCALLEN - Paulette Riggio Saca, RN, 67, went to be with our Lord, Friday, October 19, 2018 in McAllen surrounded by her family. Born in Provo, Utah, and raised in Pittsburgh, PA., Santiago de Chile, and Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, she also lived in Mexico City before moving to Edinburg to study nursing. Throughout childhood and early adulthood she played Spanish guitar and sang along with her three sisters in the musical group The Four Ettes. After nearly 20 years in Edinburg, Paulette moved to McAllen, where she became a Partner at DHR and ultimately served as their Director of Physicians HealthPlus PHO. Paulette was known for her warmth, compassion and generosity towards others; exacting perfectionism in her work; and especially for her infectious sense of humor. Mrs. Saca was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Carlos Ramon Saca; her parents, James Leonard and Carol Dolores Riggio; and her sister, Claudette Riggio Hooper.
Mrs. Saca is survived by her three children, Roberto Paolo (Sabrina) Riggio, Lauren Nicole Saca, and Dr. James Carlos Saca; her granddaughter, Scarlette Kelly Carmela Riggio; two sisters, Laurette Anne Riggio Prestia, and Annette Riggio Ferrara; a nephew, Joseph David (Michela) Prestia; her niece, Carly Ann Hooper; and brothers-in-law Joseph Prestia and Richard Hooper.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 5 p.m. Celebration of Life service, Sunday October 28, 2018 at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
