Matthew Ponce

McAllen, Texas Matthew Ponce, peacefully passed from this life into the gates of heaven on Tuesday July 6, 2021. Matthew, born in Mission, Texas and currently a resident of Edinburg,Texas. One of Matthews greatest joys was being a loving father and partner. He enjoyed being a builder of diy projects, fishing, hunting, having family time with the kids, and watching youtube channels. He loved sports like football and basketball. He loved his job as a payroll analyst and was grateful to God for all his blessings. He had a sense of humor and loved to joke around. He loved to travel and enjoyed a variety of music to include Snoop Dog, Ramon Ayala, Tracy Lawrence and others. Preceding him in death are his parents: Nestor & Leonila Ponce, Brother and Sisters Daniel, Liz, Adriana and Claudia. Matthew is survived by his spouse, Sindy Salazar, 5 children; Jordan, Matthew, Cayleen, Marco and Mario. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Legacy Chapels Funeral Home 4610 S Jackson Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday July 14, 2021 at St Jude Thaddeus 505 S Ironwood St, Pharr, TX 78577 at 10:00 A.M. followed by the burial at 11:30 A.M. at Val Verde Memorial Gardens 6200 Val Verde Rd, Donna, TX 78537. Matthew, Marco, Mario, Jordan, Giovany, Oliver, Nicky, Mingo, Joey, Gordo and Julio are honored to be serving as Matthew's pallbearers. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels of Edinburg.
