MARTIN MONTAÑO MARIN EDINBURG - Martin Montaño Marin, 65, entered eternal rest Saturday, October 2, 2021, in Edinburg. Mr. Montaño was preceded in death by his parents, Edylfonso and Timotea Montaño; two brothers, Juan and Margarito Montaño; two sisters, Francisca Montaño, Romana Montaño, and Margarita Garcia; his sister-in-law, Olga Montaño. Mr. Montaño is survived by his wife Angelica Montaño; his seven children, Martin (Esther) Montaño, Angelica Montaño, Basilio (Elizabeth) Montaño, Edylfonso "Eddie" (Sandra Martinez) Montaño, Imelda Montaño, Janet Montaño and Margarito Montaño ; 19 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edylfonso (Emma) Montaño, Manuel (Leticia) Montaño, and Basilio Montaño; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Monday, October 5, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 12 Noon at St. Jude Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
