MARIA ISABEL MACIAS PEREZ
PHARR - María Isabel Macías Pérez age 84 passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 28, 2020 Mayo as she was called by her family an dearing name that she would be called her whole life is the daughter to the late Gelacio and Concepción (Martínez) Macías, sister of †Pedro Macías, †Rosendo Macías, Domingo Macías, José Macías, María Macías Rosales, †Gabriel Macías, María Del Refugio(Cuca) Macías Quijada, Julia Macías Rodríguez, †Gabino Macías, Amparo Macías Rivera, Gloria Macías Guerrero and †Luciano Macías. Mayo was one of thirteen children she was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, México and came back to Pharr, Texas as a Young girl and has resided in Pharr till the time of her passing.
Mayo is survived by her husband Jesús “Chuy” Pérez her loyal fur babies her Chihuahuas, she is survived by her sisters and brother in-law María (the late †Juan) Rosales, the late †José (Rafaela) Macías, the late †Gabriela (the Late †Dolores) Macías, María Refugio “Cuca” (Francisco) Quijada, † the late Julia and the late Rubén R. Rodríguez, the late †Gabino (Aurora) Macías, Amparo (Juan) Rivera, Gloria (the late Rubén) Guerrero and the late †Luciano (Chaño) Macías her three younger brothers died during infancy †Pedro †Rosendo and †Domingo Macías. Tia Mayo didn’t have children of her own but all her nieces and nephews were treated as her children Javier Macias and Chano Macias were raised in her household with Wuelito Gelacio & Wuelita Concha and she loved them dearly.
Mayo remembered all her siblings’ birthdays along with all her nieces and nephews 40 of them and she always offered you a plate of food when you visited her home. Tia Mayo would give you a gift when you left. Tia mayo truly was our special Tia. She will be greatly missed by her family and her Senior Friends at the Adult Day cares she was a member of.
Visitation: Sunday, February 2, 2010 at Legacy Funeral Chapels Friends and family will gather from 3:00 p.m. Rosario and Celebration of Life Serves at 7:00 p.m.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday February 3, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., St Jude Catholic Church 505 S. Ironwood, Pharr, Texas then her burial of cremated remains will be buried at Guadalupe Cemetery corners of Bell and Cana Street, Pharr, Texas.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
