Manuela Torres de Facundo, 57, entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Doctors Hospital at Renassiance in Edinburg. "Doña Mela" as she was lovingly called by her family and friends, was born on March 30, 1961 in Mexico to Benito Torres and Hilda (Veliz) Torres. "Doña Mela" had lived in Edinburg for most of her life. She was a woman with a big heart, who enjoyed dancing, sewing, and especially praying the rosary. "Dona Mela" was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed by all.

"Doña Mela" was preceded in death by her father Benito Torres on July 2017, brothers- Sacramento, Lazaro, and Augustin Jaime Torres.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband- Andres Facundo, her two daughters- Nereyda Facundo Torres and Iris English; Her Mother Maria Hilda Veliz Torres; Siblings- Benito Torres Jr., Francisco Torres, Antonio Torres, San Juana Torres; Numerous nieces and nephews, extended family.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM with the rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Edinburg.
