Luis E. De Los Santos

LUIS E. DE LOS SANTOS MISSION - Luis E. De Los Santos, 61, entered eternal rest on Friday, February 12, 2021, in McAllen. Mr. De Los Santos was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa De Los Santos; his father, Mario De Los Santos. Louie graduated from the University of Texas A&I with a B.S.,in Geology. He worked for Texas Department of Transportation in Houston as a Geologist, and retired in 2010. He enjoyed the rest of his life playing golf and hunting with Carl Davis, Jake Longoria, Robert Flores, Mike Chavez and many friends and also enjoying his family life. He was a giver and not a taker. His call in life was to serve his family, who will miss him deeply. He was a exceptional father, grandfather, brother, friend, and son. He humbly sought to find the truths of Jesus Christ and during his illness, the Lord gave him serenity. Ultimately, he was a warrior against COVD-19 and we hope that our community will continue to weather this pandemic. Mr. De Los Santos is survived by the Love of his life, Sandra Zamora; three children, Sara De Los Santos, Marisa (Kyle) Flowers, and Christian De Los Santos; three granddaughters, Haiyden, Lennon, and River Sol; his mother, Lucia De Los Santos; four siblings, Mario (Esmeralda) De Los Santos, Dolores (Enrique) Carrizales, Lucy (Eduardo) Alanis, and David (Blanca) De Los Santos; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. The family requests that there be no reception line and that everyone adheres to the CDC rules of social distancing and mask wearing.
