JUAN MARTINEZ MISSION - Juan Martinez, 80, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, December 22, 2016, in Edinburg surrounded by his family. Born in Mexico, he had lived in Mission most of his life. Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by a daughter, Yolanda Martinez; his parents, German and Francisca Martinez; two brothers, Pablo and Rufino Martinez; three sisters, Virginia, Antonia and Maria Del Refugio Martinez. Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Adelita Martinez; two sons, Juan and Oscar Martinez; four grandchildren; a brother, Pedro Martinez; three sisters, Maria, Josefa and Leonor Martinez. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Monday, December 26, 2016, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Mission. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
