Chesapeake, Virginia/ Houston, TX Elder / Pastor Arturo O. Ortiz Sr. was called by our Lord on February 14, 2017 at the age of 68 years old. He was born on January 29,1949 in Monterey, Mexico to Elijio Ortiz and Maria Orosco. He lived in Chesapeake,VA for the past 19 years and in Houston Texas for 35 years. He was born again on May 19,1982 and spoke new tongues when he was filled with the Holy Spirit on July 20, 1982. He was ordained on March 1, 2006 and was commissioned as a National Evangelist to Chesapeake,VA where he established the Apostolic Assembly. ! Paz de Cristo! Left to cherish his memory is his wife Graciela M. Ortiz; son Arturo Ortiz,Jr.; daughters Rosaura Cortez and Gabriela Grajales; brothers and sisters-Javier Ortiz, Ignacio Ortiz, Jesus Ortiz, Roel Cantu, San Juanita Rios, Maruca Cantu, Obiedo Cantu, Juan Ortiz, Magda Ortiz, and Margarita Ortiz. Visitation will be on Thursday February 23, 2017 at Legacy Chapels,4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Celebration of Life service will be at 11:00 am, with Pastor Daniel DeLeon officiating. Burial to follow to Valley Memorial Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
