Mr. Carlos Jaime Corona,64, of McAllen passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Doctors Hospital at Renassiance in Edinburg. ”Charly Crown”, as he was lovingly known to family and friends was born on June 24, 1953 in Mexico City to Enrique and Dolores Corona. 

He was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and best friend to many. Charly was a free spirit, loving, passionate, and a successful Grammy winning music composer. Some would label him as a hippy who found the beauty in just about anything and aimed to treat life as one big party. Anyone who has memories of him will tell you he was always the center of attention. He loved to tell jokes on the fly, sing songs with his guitar, and give advice to anyone in need. He had the ability to win over almost anyone, we have yet to meet someone who didn’t fold after falling in love with his personality. 

Charly is preceded in death by his father Enrique and a brother Enrique Jr. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years Cheryl; his daughters Diana and Anaid; his son in law Issac; grandchildren Anaid Kassidy, Issac, Kira; Charly’s mother Dolores and sisters Paloma and Lupita; extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and best friends. We would not have enough space to list all his childhood and adult friends he has accumulated over the years. To say he was loved by many is an understatement. 

Charly Crown lived his life to its fullest. Rest In Peace. 

Family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, October 11,2017 at Legacy Chapels ,4610 South Jackson Rd in Edinburg from 5-9 pm. A celebration of life service will be at 5:00 pm

Funeral services are being directed by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
