JUAN ELIZONDO EDINBURG - Juan Elizondo, 86, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, May 7, 2017, in Edinburg surrounded by his family. Born in La Grülla, Texas he had lived in Edinburg most of his life. Mr. Elizondo is preceded in death by his parents, Emilio and Senovia Elizondo; two sisters, Maria and Consuelo Elizondo. Mr. Elizondo is survived by his wife, Leonila De La Cruz Elizondo; five children, Baldemar (Imelda) Elizondo, Bertha (Francisco) Ibarra, Artemio (Eva) Elizondo, Ray (Irma) Elizondo and Juan (Yvette) Elizondo; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; a brother, Emilio Elizondo; three sisters, Esperanza Elizondo, Elva Elizondo and Victoria Flores; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
